December Holiday's mental health was never something to write home about; she'd always had a little bit of a manic and psychotic side to her, and it had only gotten worse with each passing year. But with the plans for her future falling apart, she latches on to one last desperate bid to defy her mother and make it out of Hometown her own way. But that little voice of self-doubt remains in the back of her mind, festering as the months go by. If her final shot falls short, then everything... her relationships with family and lover alike, her psyche, and her soul... will all shatter like a fallen Christmas ornament.
